Welsh Government were seeking ways in which capacity and capability could be developed in Wales through the creation of internationally leading Academies for launch in 2021. We began working with Cardiff and Vale University Health Board when they were in the early stages of exploring solutions and partnerships.

We worked with the Health Board to gain a thorough understanding of their vision and ambition. We compared these with the aims and objectives of the funder to highlight where synergies could be maximised and our efforts should be focused.

Over a period of about 9 months we worked closely with Welsh and international partners to develop a compelling solution that aligned the aims and objectives of all partners with those of the funder, underpinned by a sustainable financial plan. As a dedicated resource for this programme of work, we were able to ensure the work progressed despite the many demands the pandemic made on the Health Board.

We were absolutely delighted that funding was secured for this important programme. Through the course of our work we fostered strong relationships across all partners, paving the way for a smooth mobilisation process. We look forward to continuing to support the delivery and development of the Academy.

“Truly outstanding, you’ve done a remarkable job and we’re so looking forward to taking this forward with you”

“I found working with you to be stimulating, congenial and reassuring – I could always rely on you to deliver the things you promised. Would I recommend you? Emphatically – Yes!”
