Since 2020, Venbridge has focused on designing the conditions for change in complex systems. The work is grounded in the observation that what is possible depends on the underlying conditions that shape behaviour, decision making and progress, often in unspoken ways.
Venbridge works with leaders and partners navigating complex challenges where movement is needed but is not straight forward. This often involves:
- understanding the conditions shaping current outcomes
- identifying how those conditions relate to each other and where they could shift
- supporting leaders to work within and across these conditions
The focus is not on generating activity but shared understanding and meaningful movement. Work is typically:
- long-term rather than one-off
- grounded in real situations rather than abstract models
- focused on clarity, alignment and practical progress
The aim is to make it possible to move forward within systems that are often complex, imperfect and evolving. Venbridge has worked across sectors where change is both necessary and difficult including:
- healthcare
- government and unions
- retail
- creative industries
While each context is distinct, the underlying conditions are often shared.
Venbridge was founded by Jess Lancashire. Through her work with Venbridge she designs the conditions for change in complex systems. Through her writing she explores the conditions of contemporary life.
